[Release] No surprise, another absurdly amazing release from MEXA. Loving that this is a compilation of various artists, it really showcases the range of styles and tells the story of what vibe MEXA embodies … deep, dark, and straight up sexy. To pick a favorite off the album is pretty much impossible, they’re all so sinfully divine and true to that emblematic MEXA style. The Mexicans have been making serious waves in the pool of deep this past year and highlight some of their best countrymen on this LP. featuring tracks from MEXA’s founders Louie Fresco and Jay Blakk, as part of Climbers, Betoko, Jaen Paniguaga, Nobody Knows, Bastard Love, and Rafa Navajas. The album also features some serious global talent, Brazilian Vitor Munhoz, Corey Baker of Wildkats, and Spacebyrdz and Justin Baulé to name a few.

Although to pick a favorite is impossible, certain tracks resonate with me more than others. Most notably: ‘Too Close’ by Spacebyrdz & Justin Baulé I could listen to on repeat anytime.  ‘Smoking Fire’ by Climbers for the height of a night to really get you going.   ‘Yo Yo’ by Vitor Munhoz & DJ Glen for the dark heavy late night after hours. And, ‘Baked Fresh’ by the papilord himself Louie Fresco & Corey Baker during that climax to get it dark n twisted. All in All, a strong release for MEXA to really showcase their talent and cement their place in this pool.
