Italy’s Danyel Irsina has been crafting a blend of Afro and Melodic House for over a decade, with releases on labels like Wired and SwitchLab already under his belt, as well as garnering support from tastemakers such as Enzo Siffredi, Kevin Yost and Hanna Haïs. We sat down to discuss his new track ‘Send Me’ and more.

Hi Daniel and welcome to Music is 4 Lovers! How has 2023 been for you so far?

2023, the year of the Afro House I could say… ahaha joke.

You have a new track, “Send Me”, which will be released on Adesso Music this week. What can you tell us about this release?

It was really great to sign to Adesso Music. Amazing label.

The track features Lizwi’s vocals, what was it like working with her and how do you find musical collaborations in general?

Oh, now Lizwi and I speak the same language musically so it wasn’t hard to make a song like that.

This is your first release on Adesso Music. What do you like about the label and how did you come to work with them on this record?

Adesso Music it’s one of the best labels I’ve worked with so far. I’ve received a lot of attention in all senses, and I hope to work for them again in the future – why not…

Most of your tracks tend to have large, spacious pads and textures. What draws you to these sounds, on a creative level?

Definitely the search for new and unreleased sounds.

Is there any studio or VST gear you couldn’t live without?

The native Komplete tool is a classic that I could not do without.

Is there an artist or producer you can name that you think more people should know about?

I think of the many artists more people should know about, the one I’d highlight is MOBLACK who is doing really great stuff recently.

Finally, what else can we expect from Danyel Irsina in the near future?

I sincerely hope that the future can make me travel the world with my records. I will certainly propose music again on Adesso music because, as a first experience, it was wonderful.
