CODA nightclub welcomes a month of groovy music with its incredible lineup of both techno veterans and newcomers this May. Techno pioneer Juan Atkins and progressive house artist Denis Sulta will spin their beats. CODA will also be featuring the Blu Party; a series started by Canadian-born Berlin based producer Sydney Blu. Saturday, May 18th features Las Bibas from Vizcaya for a fun evening of drag and dance music. Enjoy nights of minimal and industrial techno, as CODA celebrates May with artists Len Faki, Bensley, Paco Osuna and more.


Saturday, May 4 – Best of DJ Mag North America: Juan Atkins

One of the pioneers of the techno era, Juan Atkins will be headlining CODA for the DJ Mag Best of North America event. Since the dawn of the 1980’s, Atkins has experimented with many genres such as funk, synth-pop and hip-hop by incorporating their elements into futuristic techno. As a veteran of the techno era, Toronto is in for a treat as Juan Atkins is joined by Ciel on the stage.

Friday, May 10 – Denis Sulta

Glasgow-based producer Denis Sulta is a graduate from the Red Bull Music Academy in Montreal and won the Best Breakthrough Producer Award of 2017. Now he’s making his rounds through Toronto with his signature style of progressive house that layers synths with melancholic sounds of nature. His euphoric tracks are integrated in sets that are full of surprises. Catch this gem of an artist at CODA Nightclub and grab your tickets now!

Saturday, May 11 – The Blu Party with Black Motion

Black Motion is a duo of DJ Murder and Smol, two artists who infuse their production with themes that pay tribute to their roots with strong percussion and African vocals. Their dance music has won them awards such as Best Dance Album in 2015 and 2017, as well as Best Duo in 2017 at the SAMA XXII awards. These South African DJs will be playing alongside Sydney Blu for the Blu Party at CODA!

Friday, May 17 – Len Faki

Founder of Podium Records and resident DJ at Berghain in Berlin, Len Faki is a renowned DJ and producer who’s been in the industry for almost two decades. His style is hard-hitting, minimal and industrial techno. He has performed at massive festivals like Time Warp Germany and Tomorrowland. Now he is coming to Toronto’s favourite techno nightclub, CODA.

Saturday, May 18 – Prism Sweat: Las Bibas From Vizcaya

La Bibas from Vizcaya is a huge influence in Brazil’s LGBT community and is known as the first Brazilian crossdresser DJ, Singer, Musician and producer all in one package. Released in 2011, her album titled Bipolar was spoken highly of in American Time Out magazine and she was also the first to start a podcpase in Brazil which ran from 2004 to 2015 and gained several rewards. Her tracks are dance floor bangers that embrace femininity, power and positive energy. As a proud member of the LGBT community in Brazil, Las Bibas from Vizcaya will be shaking it up under CODA’s roof on May 18!

Friday, May 24 – Bensley

Bensley is an artist like no other. He was signed to Andy C’s label Ram Records at the age of 19 after sending a demo without any previous releases or shows under his belt. He’s now making waves in the drum and bass scene with his debut album ‘Next Generation’ which was released in 2015. Since then he has released official remixes for Flux Pavilion and Camo & Krooked. Toronto wanted more bass and now it’s coming to CODA Nightclub.

Friday, May 31 – Paco Osuna

Founder of Mindshake Records, Paco Osuna has been pursing his career in techno and house music for over 20 years. He’s played at legendary venues across the globe like Fabric London and Club Space Miami, as well as some of the biggest music festivals like Tomorrowland, Movement Detroit and BPM Festival. His music style is known to be progressive techno with weird samples and groovy percussion. Make sure you catch Paco Osuna close out the month of May at CODA.
