The Hidden People and premiere booking agency FMLY will debut at ADE 2018 with a special night in an XVIII Century old chapel in the center of Amsterdam on the 18th October.
Barcelona’s The Hidden People party promoters have teamed up with premiere booking agency FMLY to host a huge showcase during this year’s Amsterdam Dance Event. The party, which takes place at a XVIII Century old chapel on Thursday 18th October, is THP & FMLY agency’s debut event for ADE, and the action kicks off at 10pm, running well into Friday 8:00 morning. Bringing together all their know how and experience, this special event features nine artists and 12 hours of world class music with tastemaking headliners Alex Niggemann, Baltra live, Breach, Butch, Detroit Swindle, DJ Boring, Object Blue live, Space Dimension Controller live and a very special guest, from Comatonse Recordings.
Tickets are available in advance, and as an official ADE party, delegates with a ‘Night’ pass are permitted free.
For this anticipated debut, the team have found a truly unique and special venue: it’s a beautiful chapel from the 18th Century with tons of history and a real sense of atmosphere and extra spirituality that will add to the world class soundtrack. It will be a magical place in which to get lost in the music, and has a limited capacity so the whole event feels personal and intimate.
The lineup, comprised solely of FMLY Agency artists, brings together some of the biggest and most influential names in electronic music. With a billing this impressive, it’s impossible to pick a highlight. So, in alphabetical order…
Alex Niggemann, the Berlin-based artist, producer and label boss, is known for his ability to fuse the best of both old and new influences. At his plethora of DJ shows around the world, he leaves behind rigid musical definitions: the mark of a true visionary.
NYC’s Baltra breeds other-worldly sounds, creating something hugely evocative and unique through both his DJing and productions. He joins the party for a live performance at Hotel Arena.
Breach is the house and techno alias of Ben Westbeech. Having released 2 LPs as Ben Westbeech on Gilles Peterson’s Brownswood Recordings and Strictly Rhythm respectively, Ben debuted under the house and techno alias ‘Breach’ in 2010. Having achieved the rare feat of chart success, coupled with a continuing underground career, his DJ set at Hotel Arena is much anticipated.
Mainz native BUTCH, an established and charismatic force in house and techno as a result of his label ‘Otherworld’ and own ‘Down The Rabbit Hole’ party series.
Local boys Detroit Swindle formed after Lars Dales and Maarten Smeets discovered their mutual love for Motown, hip-hop and early house music. Not long after, they started making music together and the rest as they say, is history.
Tristan Hallis, aka DJ BORING burst onto the scene in 2016 with his breakout hit ‘Winona’. Since his debut on DJ Haus’ E-Beamz, he has released music on Lost Palms, LPH White, and his newly founded label, Vienna.
Named as one of the 10 techno/house producers to watch in 2018 by FACT magazine, Object Blue is the London-based, Beijing-raised object blue is a producer who combines experimental sounds with techno, focusing on their potential as live performances – which she will be performing at Hotel Arena.
Space Dimension Controller is the cosmic entity galvanizing dance music’s traditions into his own cyberpunk aesthetic. Having released on Ninja Tune, R&S and Clone his retro-futurist sound has garnered fans from across the globe (maybe even the galaxy).
As if this wasn’t enough, a special unannounced guest will also play on the bill.
