DJ duo Switch Disco are set to release the brand new music video for their recent smash hit ‘React ft. Ella Henderson’, on 23rd March.
The ultimate party anthem for 2023, ‘React’ sees Switch Disco mashup Robert Miles‘ iconic 90s techno classic ‘Children’. The accompanying visuals capture the essence and beauty of everyday relationships, alongside physical resilience. Togetherness and perseverance underline the narrative, as viewers experience endearing moments, home-video shots and euphoric moments.
Speaking on ‘React’, Switch Disco revealed: “To be given the opportunity to sample one of the most iconic dance music melodies of all time from Robert Miles, coupled with the insanely talented vocals of Ella Henderson – is something we are so grateful for. From the first moment we heard Ella’s vocals, we knew that she had created the perfect compliment to what we consider to be one of the greatest dance music instrumentals of all time.”
The two man DJ / producer team have been working alongside each other for almost 10 years, since their individual careers in the British and Greek music scenes collided together, resulting in a truly unique creative partnership. Signed to Sony UK’s Relentless Records after going viral with their Bicep and Nelly Furtado mashup in late 2020, the boys’ debut single ‘Everything’ was the sound of summer 2021 and was used as the soundtrack to the opening scene of that year’s Love Island series. The duo also performed ‘React’ on the 2023 Love Island Reunion Show introduced by Maya Jama, as they performed the single alongside vocalist Nonô.
Switch Disco’s mashups are soundtracking hundreds of thousands of TikToks and Instagram reels across the world, as well as being supported by some of the best DJs in the dance music scene. Gearing up to support Sigala on tour, and having recently announced a summer 2023 residency at Ibiza Rocks, ‘React’ promises to be a Switch Disco set highlight as the mashup duo go from strength to strength in the club scene.
