Today we have Sola Records debutant Luke Lamor picking out 10 huge tracks for us ahead of the release of his track ‘Wind Up Your Body’ on Sola’s Summer Of Rave 2021 VA (pre-order here). Let’s get into it!

Firstly, I want to mention that making a list like this is difficult, there are so many other records I would love to put in & although I wouldn’t necessarily play all of these records in the same set, these are some of my favourite records out there at the moment, each for their own different reasons.

1) Alan Braxe & Fred Falke – Intro [Vulture Music]

I love this record because it has such a unique & uplifting vibe, it reminds me a great deal of Daft Punk & although it doesn’t have a huge “buildup” or “drop”, if you play it at the right time, it still gets people moving just as much as any of the biggest tech house records. It reminds me of landing in Ibiza.

2) Azari & III – Hungry For The Power (Jamie Jones Ridge Street Remix) [Turbo Recordings]

This track in my opinion is one of JJ’s best records. The way this record switches from the intro, into the drop, is so powerful. Love the vocals, the bass is such a groove & when that organ top line comes in during the drop, you can’t help moving to it.

3) Huxley – Say My Name (Feat Yasmin) [AUS Music]

This record is a little less underground, I love this one. Really strong vocals, such catchy lyrics, good groove & interesting top synth. I like this one because it’s commercial but still sort of underground, it’s a nice middle ground.

4) Laurent Garnier – The Man With The Red Face [F Communications]

I had to include this one… how could you not? One of the all time greats this record & one of my personal favourites, I listen to this all the time, with a pair of headphones alone, and enjoy it just as much as at a sunset party in Ibiza! A real inspirational record for any producer or musician.

5) Green Velvet & Patrick Topping – Voicemail [Relief Records]

A real tech house weapon this one! Was hard to choose what to say for this one, it’s one of the best tech house records out there. It’s a track every new tech house artist wants to write something like, & every tech house clubber/listener wants to hear. It’s punchy, cool & unique. Both Green Velvet & Patrick topping will always be 2 of the Tech House Kings to me & I assume for every other up & coming tech house artist out there.

6) Mike Dunn Feat MD X-Spress – DJ Beat That Shhh [Moreaboutmusic Records]

Different to the previous records I’ve mentioned, this one is more chilled but is a real groove. Has a real classic house feel & I love it. Can’t listen to it without moving, proper house record!

7) Todd Terry Feat Martha Wash & Jocelyn Brown – Keep On Jumpin (Re-Tide Disco Mix) [Phoenix Music]

Love a little funk & had to drop this one in here! We’ve all heard these vocals before, the original song or sampled in something else, but this mix by Re-Tide takes it up! A real funky disco house record, this one gets everyone moving, love it!

8) Kyla & Crazy Cousinz – Do You Mind (Essess Remix) [Ministry Of Sound]

Absolute heater this record! Perfect example of the classic house organ & vocal combination that has been the backbone of so many top records!

9) Eli Brown & MANT – Feel Good [Sola Records]

Love this record so much, one of the best records for getting people really moving, bring on the pyro! Huge build, massive vocals, killer synths, what more could you want from a tech house record???

10) Jamie Jones & Alan Fitzpatrick – Sundancing [Hot Creations]

Wanted to include another slightly more melodic record, for me this one was the obvious choice. I love this record, from the analog synths to the incredible vocals, it’s a real vibe. Whenever I play this record there’s always people moving arm in arm together & that’s what house is about, enjoying yourself, that’s why I like this record.

Thanks a lot for that Luke!
