It’s that time of year again when all the buzz is fluttering towards the coastal craze of Miami. Art Basel is less than two months away, and with that comes the release of lineups and events galore. Rakastella, an event unifying powerhouses Life and Death and Innervisions, has been teasing fans with a string of lineup announcements for the December 7 event.
Just yesterday, German house innovator Motor City Drum Ensemble and Miami’s reigning electro king Danny Daze were welcomed onto the already stacked bill. MCDE will be making his Miami debut, along with Scottish DJ and River Rapid founder Eclair Fifi. Local legend and Electric Pickle founder Will Renuart rounds out the lineup.
This multi-dimensional collection of talent weaves itself into an already impressive lineup. Despite the event being only 16 hours, it will host a stunning selection of artists: Jayda G, Ben UFO, Dixon, Palms Trax, Âme’s Frank Weidemann, KiNK, Soul Clap, Aurora Halal, John Talabot, Öona Dahl, Mor Elian, Tara Brooks, Marie Davidson and DJ Minx.
Rakastella seeks to create an experience full of immersive amenities for all its guests. The late Miami underground staple Electric Pickle will be uniting with Where Are My Keys for an intimate Rakastella stage. Guests will be privy to a Hi-Fi Tea Garden curated by Terrestrial Funks, where organic tea blends will be served among surprise vinyl sets from surprise DJs on a Danley sound system. VIP attendees will have their own personal village, filled with lounges, complimentary massages, a private mixology bar, and hors d’oeuvres at sunset cooked by famed Miami chef Andres Garcia.
What makes this event more applaudable is its commitment to reducing its carbon footprint and leaving Virginia Key in pristine condition. Single-use plastics have been blacklisted, and people will be executing beach cleanups before and after the event.
While you need no more convincing, here is where you can get your tickets.
