Lee Foss’s South of Saturn continues its high quality run with a new EP from the distinct and fast rising ODCEE.
This London artist started out in jungle, so has a razor sharp sound palette and a rare grasp on rhythm that now carries over into his work in the house realm. Repopulate Mars, CUFF and Roush have all snapped up his work to make him one of the hottest new names in the game. With big support from radio tastemakers like Annie Mac as well as club champions like Sonny Fodera and Camelphat, he now continues to develop across two terrific new cuts.
Muscular opener ‘Fake Chow’ is an electric cut with twisted vocals, sinewy synths and real sense of tension in the futuristic tech grooves. The whole thing eventually explodes and is powered along by warm, bubbling bass that will blow up any club. The superbly stylish ‘Douchebag’ is another house kicker from outer space, with libidinous vocal sounds and kinetic kicks powering it along. Layered claps and taught synths add to the immediacy of it all and ensure maximum impact.
ODCEE ‘Fake Chow’ drops on South Of Saturn on 4th September 2020.
