Lex Luca closes in on a year of releases on his In Tune label with ‘House Party / READY ONE’: another sterling two-tracker that adds to the growing reputation of both label and artist.

From super-fresh and nicely rolling piano house anthem ‘Call Me’ to the tech-edged mainroom stomp of ‘Yeah Yeah’, Lex Luca’s In Tune is now lazer-guided for house music power, with the likes of Joseph Capriati, Disclosure, Shiba San, Solardo, Richy Ahmed and Danny Howard all giving the thumbs up to his varied and highly effective productions. Now, with the label fast approaching its first anniversary – and a remix package featuring some seriously heavy-duty talent just around the corner – Luca drops his latest AA side release: the emphatic ‘House Party / Ready One’.

First up is ‘House Party’. Cut from the same piano-sampling cloth as the massively well-received, ‘Call Me’, it builds through steadily rising chords and increasingly intense vocal samples, reaching a mid-track crescendo with growling bass pads and increasingly frenetic percussion. A bonafide party-starter if ever there was one.

‘READY ONE’ is a darker, trippier dancefloor excursion; with shimmering synths stabs and an increasingly industrial feel as the track progresses. It’s a masterclass in keeping the tension simmering just below the surface, and completes another impressive EP from this red-hot producer.
