’Same Blood’ features Los Angeles-based duo The Palms and makes a timely comeback.  Lifted from Kraak & Smaak’s album ‘Pleasure Centre’, the track is enhanced by a quartet of sure-fire reworks courtesy of Norwegian nu-disco don Prins Thomas and True Romance head honcho Tensnake.  The lavishly orchestrated, indie disco-pop ‘Same Blood’ casts a spell of Californian summer upon the dancefloor with its coastal sunset atmosphere, understated psychedelia and welcoming zero-G dreaminess that’s become a trademark of The Palms’ wistful musical imaginarium.

Lulling us to a brightly hued utopia of hybrid disco-rock and faded early days house, Nordic wizard Prins Thomas further lushly ornamented take embarks us on a trip down memory lane, with its funky slap bass, chromatic pads and soft bugle calls holding the rank of time-travelling vehicle. A total treat for the feet and senses, the classic ‘diskomiks’ treatment doesn’t disappoint, be it the vocal version which gracefully incorporates The Palms enticing vocal into a further spacious, kosmische tinged environment, or the instrumental, which allows Prins Thomas’ widescreen production process to be fully underlined and the listener to lose himself in between tight-knit beds of complex melodic lines, sailing you off to another dimension.
