Los Angeles based producer clavette releases an irresistible two track EP alongside Austin based producer Boogietraxx. The EP features lead single ‘Somebody’ and the accompanying B-side, ‘Something Like This,’ both funky House inspired records oozing in soul and nostalgia, perfect for the blissful warmer months of 2021.

The EP is sure to mesmerize dancefloors this summer with it’s raw infectious grooves and it’s unapologetic House flavor. Beginning with ‘Somebody,’ which samples the work of legendary rhythm and blues artist Jackey Beavers, the track explores splintering House beats adjacent to a boastful bass line and stuttered record sample. ‘Somebody’ is ideal for summer pool party crowds needing a lift into new levels of energy and spirit. Not to be overlooked is the confident ‘Something Like This,’ a strong B-side record featuring commanding spoken word vocals, tantalizing grooves, and live instrumentation. While ‘Somebody’ provides the raw energy for the EP, ‘Something Like This’ more aptly provides a hypnotizing trance for dance floor goers to lose themselves.

Over the last year, clavette has become a familiar name amongst some of the industry’s biggest artists. David Guetta, Diplo, Mark Knight, Paul Woolford, KC Lights, Sister Bliss, Wh0 and many others have supported the new producer, while labels like Toolroom Trax, Simma Black, and Deep Root have released records from clavette as well. Having debuted a guest mix for prestigious Radio FG, as well as scoring multiple Genre Top 10 positions on Beatport and Traxsource via his releases with the mentioned labels, clavette is poised to make big strides in this year and beyond.

Boogietraxx, is helmed by producer/DJ Brandon Keeks who’s also one half of Nu-Disco duo Hot Fun. With releases on Blockhead Recordings, Spa in Disco, Hot Digits, and track support from the legendary Stonebridge and Sammy Deuce, Boogietraxx’s infectious grooves are worth the listen. His first vinyl outing on Super Spicy Records sold out within weeks of its release. His recent remix of Akeem Raphael’s “Funkin’ Chunkin” landed him the #2 spot on Juno Download’s top 10 single release. His tracks “Be Real” and “Dancin” also charted on Beatport’s top 100 Funky / Groove / Jackin’ House.
