Why does the west coast weigh a ton? It’s the bass.

MTWAT have been avid followers of this new genre some people call ‘west coast bass’, which incorporates elements from classic electro, techno, tech house and bass music, and is generally very good to dance to. Some of the most notable players of this sound are, naturally, from the west coast of the US, like the Dirtybird crew.

The imprint’s A&R, NiQW, is a big lover of this sound so he has compiled a 6 track compilation of stuff he likes, and fits the representation of this style, yet still has the MTWAT feeling all through them.

Arnold & Lane release a naughty banger, as part of this compilation. “Pretty Body” is out on July 12th, via My Techno Weighs A Ton.
