Behrouz’s Do Not Sit On The Furniture Recordings continues to hone its own unique sound with this new EP from Powel. Powel is a regular on Lee Burridge’s All Day I Dream label and is a resident at their parties round the world. His dreamy sound is a fine fit and now five more such cuts come just in time for some top outdoor terrace party action.

Since We’ve Been is first out of the blocks with a sashaying groove coloured with sci-fi keys. It’s mid tempo, majestic and one to get the hairs standing on end. Who Put That Piano In The Jungle is a perfectly warm and tropical house beat with lazy drums swaying to and fro and eco systems of bird calls and flute lines really hypnotising you. Doorbell Symphony is a little more direct with upright kicks but still plenty of sound ambiance adding great atmosphere. A Record This Quiet is a nimble effort with cute chord stabs bringing dreamy vibes to the table and last of all Tuesday Blues has that sombre, sorry for yourself feeling that is great to get lost in. This is tender house music of the highest order.
