Mr C has been as active as ever during lockdown and as well as starting various streams and podcast he has been crafting in the studio. Next up is a new collaborative EP with Noel Jackson as East LA Tek.

JuJu opens up in loopy fashion, with corrugated drums and sci-fi synths racing over the top of the bumpy drums. Its a real trip. Sorcery is even quicker and more slick, with a busy lead synth moving about all over the place as the supple drums glide below like an intergalactic space flight. It’s a dense cut but one filled with groove. Magic is the closer, and has some superb Detroit synth sounds and a real futuristic feel that shimmers with a late night neon glow. All in all this is a superb EP.
