[New Release] Before I loved house, I loved hip hop. And the more and more I got into house music, the more I noticed the constant incorporation and blending of the two genres, which only deepened my love for it. Leeds DJ and producer, Kezla, showcases this particular blend of music styles on his new EP, The Motion, out today on U.K. imprint Love Not Money Records.

From the Q-Tip vocal samples on both the title track and Oli Furness‘s Rub-A-Dub remix to the claps and drums on the Will Crawshaw-assisted “The Soul,” Kezla sprinkles every song on his latest offering with hints of old school hip hop and R&B. But don’t get confused; at the heart, soul, and core of it The Motion is ultimately four solid house numbers. Being on the more upbeat end of deep house, and with the driving bass lines and overall “raw” feel of the record, any one of these tracks is sure to burn up the dance floor and keep the people in perpetual Motion.

The Motion is available now, exclusively on Beatport.
