Mikalogic’s summer Gun Theory EP last year on Noir’s 2nd imprint made a great impression on us.  His bright, raw instrumentation and upbeat ambiance caught our attention right away, and Unlimited Power marks a great start to 2014 for the Portuguese artist.

Title track “Unlimited Power” is an instant favorite bringing a thick, organic bass line with a funky drive to the package, and while the vocal version soulfully flows, the instrumental is equally captivating.  Slowing it down to 95, “Enjoy Boredom” winds you through a slow burning rabbit hole for a wonky impression that creeps in and out of the spacey drones and a deep seated drawl.
