Desert Hearts Festival is now in October, but the indoor party lives on thanks to new EPs from all four Crew members. Today, Marbs serves up a brand new solo EP to get feet pumping on the living room dancefloor: ‘Psilo’.

‘Psilo’ floats on psychedelic currents, treading at high speed along thick basslines and futuristic sound effects that come together in a peak time-ready mix. ‘Cybin’ picks the energy up even more while raking a darker turn with undulating analog riffs and strong, driving percussion. The EP as a whole captures the harder, techno-leaning aesthetic that Marbs has refined as he’s burrowed deeper into the underground.

For seven months, Marbs and Evan Casey have grown their label subsidiary, Desert Hearts Black, into a respected platform for melodic strains of house and techno. Along with Rinzen, their inaugural EP ‘Torus’ reached the #1 spot on Beatport’s Overall chart after its singles were supported by Deep Dish and many others. The label has already seen releases from Tim Engelhardt, Dance Spirit, Thugfucker, Arude, Anakim, Rinzen, and Lunar Plane.

‘Psilo’ completes the ‘Road To Desert Hearts’ EP series, which shows off the distinctive sonic personalities of Mikey, Lee, Porky, and Marbs. These releases lead into a bustling year for the label, which sees EPs from North America’s finest in addition to a wide array of international talents including Amine Edge and Dance, Popof, and more. With the Desert Hearts crew leading the charge, expect an endless supply of invigorating beats to soundtrack the months ahead.
