Interview with Eskuche & Nu Sky:
Hi, guys! Thanks for taking the time for this Lovecast feature. How did you guys meet? Tell us the story. How does the scene in New York City influence your sound and the way you conduct business?
Hey there! We met many years ago back in the day in Russia. Life then separated us for a few years, and reunited us spiritually and musically here in NYC. This city has a really big influence on us and our music. New York has an insane vibe.

Your debut EP “Acid Jump” was released on Hot Creations in November 2014; that must have been a dream come true! Tell about the release and how you hooked up with Jamie Jones. How has your lives changed since then?
Yeah, it really is a dream come true. Music made things happen. Our tracks have come a long way and then got into the hands of Jamie Jones. It was a big pleasure to see how the Hot Creations crew hammered our tunes around the world.
Eskuche & Nu Sky with Jamie Jones and Lee Foss
What’s on the plate for Eskuche & Nu Sky for the remainder of 2015 that you’re especially excited about?
We are super excited about our upcoming gigs. Next week we are going to the forest in upstate NY for the weekend to the annual Disorient pre-Burning Man psychedelic party. Right after that we are heading on tour, which is starting in Moscow, then London and finishing at I Am Global Festival in Barcelona.
Regarding releases – we have some cool stuff in store: a huge EP on ViVA Music this summer; also our long time secret weapons will be finally released this year on Lee Foss’s new label – Repopulate Mars; and our big tune “Work That” with Gemma Sherry will be released soon on Material with new interpretations, remixed by Rene Amezh and Hector Morales.
Describe your workflow in the studio as a duo? How is better than working solo? How is it challenging?
The creative process is really chaotic. Sometimes we like late night studio sessions, jamming with synths and drum-machines, sometimes we do solo studio work. Afterwards we are always meeting for final touches. Two minds are better than one.
Eskuche & Nu Sky at Cielo
Do you have any residencies in NYC? What are some parties and/or clubs that you recommend people check out when visiting the city?
Our second home is Cielo. This place brings the classic house vibe and atmosphere – really one of the best room in NYC, we love to play there. We also recommend Verboten, Output and summer time must check out All Day I Dream.
