Interview with DJ W!LD

How did you first get introduced to underground dance music? What is the most challenging part of becoming a full-time producer and touring artist?
I got introduced to electronic music in two different phases. The first one was with break dance like Afrika Bambaataa, Kraftwerk and A Number Of Names to name a few artists. The second phase was with a club called L‘Anfer in Dijon where all best DJs were playing. Laurent Garnier was also a resident there so my ears definitely got an education; it became a temple for me. The most challenging part of touring is to stay in good condition and stay healthy.

What has been the most exciting turning point of your career so far?
So far the most exciting point of my career is right now with my new album ‘Techno City’ as well as all my new projects that are coming out. My new label ‘DAILYCID’ where I can show different aspects of my sound is also thrilling. It’s difficult to start all over again with a label but it’s also really exciting.

What advice would you give to an aspiring producer?
I would say first be patient, be yourself and believe in yourself.

What’s on the horizon for DJ W!LD in 2017?
Well, 2017 already started well with my new album, my new label DAILYCID and my label parties. I’m looking forward to the Ibiza season with DC10 and the other parties there.

Do you have any hobbies outside of music?
Drawing, painting, basketball, design and jewellery.

What are some touristy things you do while playing in a foreign city?
I go to record shops, museums, the beach, the spa, I go shopping, eat local food, and of course after party
