Italian pair M.F.S: Observatory have been under our radar for some time featuring several times on the site, with the news of their EP on My Techno Weighs A Ton and several other promising releases in the pipeline we wanted to catch up with the guys and get the low down of their forthcoming business. The ‘It’s True/Rolling’ EP provides their signature playful vibe with big room noise for the dance floor…

Pre Order Now Via Beatport, Out On 28/05:

How was the start of 2021 for you? What are you focusing on this year as artists?

2021 started good, we are focusing a lot on finding a new agency that can increase our gigs and our career. Also, we signed a couple of good EPs on some respected labels like Etiquette of Hannah Wants and Ivav Recording sister label of Viva Music. We have also collaborated with one of the best artists of the scene, that will come soon.

What have you been doing to keep busy during the pandemic?

We are lucky that both of us study, so we keep busy with assessments and the music, which has helped us significantly during this strange period.

When clubs reopen, is there a dream city or club you would love to play in?
We would love to play and visit the USA, maybe do a tour around it. But, unfortunately, we don’t have a dream city, but a dream club, yes, and it is Berghain in Berlin, we need to work a lot and we know it will take a lot to get there, maybe one day.

It has been a year now of live streams, do you enjoy doing streams yourself? Do you find it harder to pick tracks for a stream than a club? Is hard to gage without a crowd, right?

We did some streaming during this period. Of course, we like always to play music, but it is not the same without a crowd. I can’t wait to play again with the public.

Do you have much planned for Observatory Music in the next period?

Yeah, we have a lot of release coming on OBM with good artists such as Richard Ulh and many more. Also, we have an Ep that we will release soon on the label.

What other releases do you have coming this year on other labels?

We have a good amount of release coming during the next period, like the two that i mentioned before. Also, we have two EP signed with the Gettoblaster label, We Jack and another EP with My Techno Weighs a Ton, and the Ep in collaboration with this big artist that I can’t tell the name now
