Although Ikarus Festival 2020 has been cancelled due to COVID-19, 2020 ticket purchases will remain active for Ikarus Festival 2021 by following the event organizer’s online rebooking instructions. For those who will not be able to attend the 2021 event due to time (or perhaps travel) restraints, can have their order converted into a voucher that provides the option of choosing an alternative event from the event organizer’s portfolio. Although general refunds are not possible, the Ikarus team will review individual cases if one identifies themself as a “hardship case” and are able to submit appropriate documents such as proof of job loss etc, to prove financial need.

With six separate stages, 120 artists, workshops, shows, food vendors, and attractions, Ikarus Festival 2020 was to take place over three days and nights as an open air house and techno electronic music camping festival on the lush forests and dark shelters of a former military field in Memmingburg, Germany. The event was planned to take place the weekend of May 29, 2020 through June 01, 2020, but has now been rescheduled for next year and will take place from May 21, 2021 through May 24, 2021.

Ikarus started in 2015 with it’s first event hosting 14,000 attendees across just two stages and has taken place annually, growing to upwards of 40,000 attendees with over 100 DJs in 2019. Past featured artists have included: Paul Kalkbrenner, Chris Liebing, Richie Hawtin, Boris Brejcha, Ben Klock, Stephan Bozdin, Charlotte De Witte, Solomun, Tale of Us, Einmusik, Monolink, Claptone, Mimi Love, Super Flu, Stereo Express, and hundreds more.
