Interview with Dateless
Who inspires you?
So many people inspire me on a daily basis but if i were to name a few they would be Carl Cox, Jamie Jones, Mark Knight, René Amesz, Shiba San, VonStroke, Green Velvet, Adam Beyer, Malaa, Latmun & Solardo.
What is the hottest track in your arsenal?
I’d say it’s my track “Hit Em With The Hardcore” forthcoming on Tchami’s label Confession. Crowd response is always beautiful!
Where in the world do you dream about DJing?
It’s a dream of mine to hit Ibiza not to mention Europe in general. South America is also a place where i dream of jumping on the decks, most of my family is from there and on top of that i don’t think i’ve ever seen a more passionate crowd of people then in places like Argentina, Chile & Brazil.
When is your next release?
Next release is a 4 track EP on Confession (Tchami’s Imprint). Coming out sometime this summer, I’m super excited!
Why did you get into dance music?
Dance music has actually been coursing through my veins since day 1. My grandfather was a well known Tango composer in the LA area at one point in time, also my mom always had my brother and I listening to Salsa music and all sorts of latin music since we were babies so you could say rhythm is quite important to me.
How do you spend your free time?
Since my days consist of constant house music I like to spend my free time away from it watching good movies, shootin’ the shit with close friends and family, listening to all sorts of latin music like reggaeton & salsa, disco music and of course revisiting the classics from time to time.”
