9mann’s musical journey began on a cold winter night in Minnesota when his father played Paul Simon’s album “Graceland” on vinyl for him and his brother. While his musical interests are widespread, he has planted himself firmly in underground electronica, with house, techno, and disco as his holy trinity. With a growing fanbase in Washington, DC and beyond, 9mann’s DJ sets often dive into the deeper side of house music, with routine selections of acid house, 90s house, and disco. Some of 9mann’s favorite listening experiences occur when a DJ’s musical voyage allows him to transcend himself and be fully immersed in the music.
