[New Release] The second release from Shadow Sanctuary again comes from the label boss himself, Dexter Kane. His last release generated a lot of buzz, and The Realness has reason to do the same.

The whole EP is a well rounded, high energy, classically sexy release. The first track, “Realness Don’t Break Down,” is an impressive mix of classic sounds and experimental space-inspired elements, which, interestingly, come out of a classic Korg synth. “We Are Polyphonic” is a punchy track, but exudes a nice, laid back feel that would motivate even the shyest of dancers to get down on the floor. The Click Click mix is equally as addictive, but with a bass heavy, funky additive. “Hello Analogue” is a nice finish to an already great EP. Its head-in-the-clouds elements make it an end of the night hit. The August Jakobsen mix is much more energetic, but maintains the same sweet, melodic qualities of the original.

The great thing about The Realness is its diversity of sounds. Nothing is more disappointing than a record where each track sounds just like the last, and this EP is far, far from that. If Dexter Kane maintains a propensity to experiment, then he and his new label have much to look forward to.
