After making a substantial mark with debut single ‘Idol Eyes’ last month, Common Saints is quickly paving the way for their EP release with another new single. The London-based producer and multi-instrumentalist has released ‘Summer Sun’ on the 21st August via his own imprint Starsonics.

Turning plenty of industry heads with his first ever single under the Common Saints name, Bonafide Mag, DMC World and Top Shelf Music were amongst the publications to cover ‘Idol Eyes,’ whilst Tom Ravenscroft gave it a spin on  BBC 6 Music, not to mention it was playlisted on Amazing Radio.

Another effortlessly cool groove of a record, ‘Summer Sun’ takes things to a whole new level. Soulful, warm bass tones keep it flowing, steady drum rhythms keep it moving and the euphoric, delicate vocal work adds intertwining layers to the texture. Intricate, clean guitar licks fill the gaps and the impeccable production fuses everything together in a psychedelic melting pot. On creating the track, Common Saints added:

“Summer Sun” is an ode to the most vibrant time in the year, celebrating the joy and freedom that the sun brings .. There are some seminal saxophone stylings in Summer Sun from Brandon Wright who I met backstage before a CHIC concert, he’s an absolute boss. It’s a chilled vibe, all about making love.”

Part two of Common Saints’ journey takes us on another journey of easy listening goodness. Sit back, relax and get lost in this one.
