Iconic Ibiza nightspot Club Chinois is teaming up with British DJ and producer Franky Wah for his first island residency, beginning Sunday 18th June.

The residency will be a showcase for SHÈN, the record label and luxury brand launched by Franky Wah last year as an outlet for conceptual music and fashion that pushes the boundaries of progressive club culture. Having released records from the likes of Shadow Child, Korolova and Cristoph to name a few, SHÈN is more recently home to Franky Wah‘s ‘This Is SHÈN’, a debut mixtape that introduced the label’s dedication to Chinese philosophy, religion, and mythology, and latest single ‘Darkest Hour ft Diana Miro’, which recently hit #1 on the Beatport chart.

Now with his first SHÈN residency at the glittering Ibiza nightspot Club Chinois, which has its own decadent stylistic Chinese influences, Franky Wah’s new brand has found its ideal island home.

Speaking about the residency, Franky says: I’m absolutely buzzing to be hosting a SHÈN residency in Ibiza this Summer at Club Chinois and to be bringing the brand over to the island. This has always been on the bucket list for me and when starting SHÈN, an Ibiza residency seemed like a distant dream. This is undoubtedly one of the highlights of my career to date.”

A truly contemporary artist, Franky Wah’s music epitomises the exhilarating power of club culture. Born and raised in Yorkshire, in the North of England, Franky has an intuitive understanding of emotion, dance floor energy and catchy hooks culminating in a sound that resonates with both the underground and commercial ends of the dance music spectrum. A series of chart-topping releases have catapulted him into stardom and earned him a dedicated fanbase, with glittering endorsements from the likes of Pete Tong, Annie Mac, Danny Howard and Mistajam

Franky Wah’s broad palette employs influences from trance, breakbeat, house, techno and beyond to create a sonic identity that sits at the apex of what modern dance music is all about: diversity, unity and a progressive outlook. On the road he has appeared at clubs and festivals across the world, from Mexico and Dubai to Glastonbury, Hideout and Creamfields. Now running his own label, SHÈN, which provides a liberating space for him to release new music as well as giving his support to other artists, this rising star is ascending rapidly.

SHÈN will find its Summer home in Club Chinois, the glamorously renovated former HEART nightclub designed to entice global music talent and hedonistic souls, where late nights come alive with escapism and adventure. Inspired by the decadent yet iniquitous jazz clubs of 1930’s Shanghai, the club delivers old-world hospitality and world class contemporary entertainment to the sunny shores of Ibiza. Revellers can find an innovative cocktail list, five-star hospitality and superb service within the club’s golden sculpted columns, opulent textiles and granite floors – with sensory surprises around every corner.

Following an incredible debut season after Club Chinois’ launch last year, Franky Wah is another coveted addition to the club’s roster for a scorching Summer 2023.
