After something of a break, Chaim is back with more of his great and innovative house. It comes on the Disco Halal label where he has released before now, and after other fine outings on the likes of Cocoon, Saved, Visionquest and others.

First out of the blocks is Your Mulana, a deep house cut with a distinctive middle eastern feel, like all the cuts here. The bouncy drums are tense but playful and all sorts of instrumentals are laid over top. The Trikk remix is then more loose and laid back, with dub vibes, rubbery kicks and languid guitars laid over the top while a great vocal and hand claps get you hypnotised. Ventilator feat Roei is next and has exquisite keys dining out to bring that exotic feeling and one that casts your mind free as the supple drums get you moving, and last off all Toriaz is more direct and has a phased bassline and sheet metal snares bringing the occult house and tech moods and grooves. Excellent all in all.
