The first-wave of programming consists of a dynamic bill of artists with Brentford’s finest, Kurupt FM joining as headliners for their biggest ever show in their home city and special guest Manchester’s finest, Bugzy Malone, one of the UK’s brightest talents in grime.

Established acts within the electronic scene come aplenty with the fluid heavyweight Holy Goof, spinning everything from adrenaline-fuelled bassline to house, garage and grime. Multi-platinum Number 1 hitmaker Jonas Blue, esteemed for his dance and pop fusions. Hot Dub Time Machine will be  joining us to play a rave set, whilst Bristol’s Born on Road will be providing the sounds of new jungle.

Also joining will be KISS FM’s very own Mollie Collins, Britain’s best-known drag queen, acclaimed producer DJ Jodie Harsh, Defected resident Jess Bays and BBC 1’s music connoisseur Jay Forster. Girls Don’t Sync have quickly become rowned for their cleverly curated genre blends of dancehall, afrobeats, UK garage and more join the bill, alongside Dom Whiting AKA ‘DJ on a bike’ will be spreading his infectious energy at the event.

Taskemater P-rallel has been confirmed to provide his easygoing blend of soulful dance music, Australia’s fast rising DnB DJ LUUDE, house duo Mas Que Nada and fresh and up-and-coming talent Belters Only, Koven, AMA, Assemble, Nathan X and Izzy Bossy.

Leaders in the new generation of UK garage, Sammy Virji and Conducta will be going exclusively B2B for what’s sure to be a very special set. South London’s multi-award winning artist Ms Banks and Youtube’s favourite musician and social media buff, Yung Filly will also be joining the star studded line-up.

Jeff Gray, Head of AMAAD Events says, ‘We are proud to announce Festival People, a fresh new event hitting East London’s Barking Park this June. A celebration of youth culture, we will transcend the usual limits of a typical London day festival, through an emphasis on community and audience interaction.

This will be achieved through participation before, during and after the event, whether that’s as a performer, designer, producer or coordinator, we want as many people to get involved as possible. After all, it’s what YOU make it.

Our lineup will also reflect the varied tastes of today, with selections from a broad range of styles. It’s an opportunity to see your favourite acts and discover new ones in the process. Bold, fun and unpretentious, the event is set to make a huge mark on London’s event landscape this summer. So grab your festival people and get involved.’

Gamification will be at the heart of Festival People, breathing purpose into the event and offering a choice of how much attendees participate allowing for the creation of a colourful inner city event.

Joining as brand partners are BRESH, the Latin American party starters who have thrown events from Buenos Aires, to Miami, to Ibiza, Barcelona and everywhere in between. COGO who have been pushing the next generation of DJs since 2019, alongside London’s favourite student events brand Sneak and Brighton’s underground bass promoters, Supercharged.

Festival People 2023 tickets will be released on Thursday 9th February at 12pm to all those who register at www.festivalpeople.london. Tickets start from £39.50 +BF.

Tickets can be purchased as part of a payment plan with deposits from just £5, providing a perfect opportunity to spread the cost out over the coming months.
