[New Release] MTA Records is a label known for releasing music from all over the electronic spectrum, from drum & bass to electro. With their latest release, they get it spot on with this massive track from Ben Pearce. What I Might Do is most certainly one of the top releases of 2012 and with remixes from Harry Wolfman, Adam Shelton, and Bonar Bradburry, expect this one to be played by many DJs.
The title track, ‘What I Might Do,’ is the perfect blend of house, soul, funk, R&B, and everything else in between. With a seriously groovy melody, driving bass line, and soulful vocals, this is easily a contender for top tracks of 2012. In addition to the original, they also have a longer club edit of the track which is just as amazing as the original. Harry Wolfman delivers with an exquisitely deep version with silky vibes, dramatic synths, tons of reverb, and a sublime aura that send you soaring. Adam Shelton also brings it with his dark remix that most certainly sets the warehouse vibe in motion. Bonar Bradburry puts his own touches on the original with his beautiful use of piano and giving it a nice minimal touch.
Overall this is an amazing record. If you have yet to hear of Ben Pearce, then this release will surely get him on your radar. I see this record getting tons of play time from all types of DJs and expect to hear this one on a dance floor near you. I really look forward to what Ben has in store because his productions just keep getting better and better.
