Continuing to champion future stars on the scene, Sonny Fodera enlists some promising ones to watch for his Solotoko label compilation, Solotoko Drops Vol. 2.

Following on from the Solotoko Drops Vol. 1 compilation back in 2018, Solotoko Drops Vol. 2 explores a further eight stellar and versatile tracks from rising talent including Friendless and Vanilla Ace, Roxe, VISSID, Baran Ertem, Cashino, Ludo Lacoste, BOMBAYS and Bohemien.

Kicking off proceedings sees Friendless and Vanilla Ace collab for Call My Name, featuring grooving vocal hooks weaved with quirky synth shimmers. Moving into techier territories, Roxe’s Move Yourself combines weighty kick drums and oscillating basslines with a deep vocal reminiscent of dance floors.

Next up, VISSID brings sun-soaked vocals fuelled by blissful piano keys with Almost, sure to inject a summer ambience in any part of the world. Meanwhile, Baran Ertem provides the soul with Solaire featuring Rachel Barror who’s vocals glide and soar amongst melodic stabs and chunky synth pulses. Cashino continues the feel-good approach with mystical harmonies and jacking drops, demonstrating crossover anthem appeal. Ludo Lacoste shifts the compilation back to clubbier territories with Just A Little More, chopping hypnotic vocals and rippling drops.

BOMBAYS weaves vocal distortions and progressive instrumentals in AMOR
whilst Bohemien drops No You Don’t featuring playful tribal drums and a soul- drenched sample, rounding off the compilation on a captivating high. With each track receiving Sonny Fodera’s seal of approval, Solotoko Drops Vol. 2 showcases a collection of versatile house weapons from the next wave of skyrocketing talent.
