Alexey Romeo is a huge star in his native Russian and now he steps up with a bold new album on Bunny Tiger. It is the label run by Sharam Jey that deals in all forms of house, and the Russian artist uses that to spread his wings far and wide.

It is a record that deals in big melodic house sounds. Never Alone has bold bass and big chords that set the tone from the off. Elsewhere Show You Love comes on strong with a neon chord sequence and popping drums that get you moving and Apocalypse explores a more classically inclined house sound. Gravity (Alexey Romeo Remix) really gets you in the zone with its dreamy pads and Like This is a stripped back and harder hitting cut with great vocals and rock solid kicks.

Elsewhere there is deeper, more late night fare to get you in a loved up mood such as Take My Hand and Eastern Express then gets you locked into the groove with its fresh pads and slick drums.

Overall many different styles are explored, always with something that ties them together. This is a great new evolution for this artist that keeps him very much at the top of the pile.
